respawn time sux
waiting 2 minutes just to fight is insanely dumb, fix respawn times with a respawn damage penalty for the time instead of wait, people dont have the patience to sit for 2 minutes just to keep playing insanely dumb logic going on here, games like marvel rivals are good because the respawn is nearly instant

clearly games should go on for two hours so it can be like marvel rivals slop. on second thought just stick to marvel rivals kid.

A damage penalty simply would not work in this game. Abilities with negative effects like stuns and the like would still work (and implementing some sort of catch all "reduction" that could reduce stun times doesnt change the fact that those abilities can cancel or interrupt enemies), so any character with powerful and useful CC would be tremendously frustrating to deal with if they could just keep respawning over and over with little to no wait. Games would never end, or they would take at least 20 minutes longer.

Mobas have always had long respawns (and Dota could have even longer respawns due to buybacks), and they have not changed for a reason. The respawn time goes up as the game goes on longer, and this helps facilitate the endgame as well as create a very tangible and reactable punishment for dying. Your team kills Dynamo so now they can safely try and get Mid-Boss because he is dead for 40 seconds, as an example

Quite a lot of people actually have the patience to sit and wait for the respawn timer, or they just go get a drink or something. You dont have to like it, Its a very fair criticism to have, but I wouldnt get your hopes up that a staple of the genre (and yes, this game is definitely a Moba first and a hero shooter second) is going to change.
