What's the point of having this game in the closed beta?

The game ain't that popular as Valve expected it to be and the playerbase is shrinking as we speak.

You've probably have never experienced the problem that I'm having and it would sound foolish to you but as for now, I've been searching the game for 4 and a half hours and haven't found one (288 minutes to be exact) and it wouldn't be the first day that I'm having that issue.

And I'm probably living near the smallest Deadlock's playerbase server, that I would call the Japenese server and it's definitely not the place where people enjoy PVP games like in Europe or NA but still.

I suggest to open the beta for public, it's not like the Deadlock is that exclusive. And that would probably clean the forums from people that make monkey out of free in-game invites and would bring a huge chunk of players in.

What do you guys think?

it was a marketing ploy to generate hype first and a convenient excuse to justify low partecipation now

honestly a genius move ngl, if only they had the same ingenuity when it comes to actually make good games

I geniuly think that the Deadlock's genre is great and something unique.

The only thing I dislike about the game, except for long matchmaking time, is either the broken charged melee animation, hitboxes or desync, when you get hit from a melee attack while you're few meters away from it.

terrain and buildings don't inhibit all hero abilities consistently. Good example of it working, bebop grab or Dynamo stomp (Kinetic Pulse). not implement, Yamato is broken, will tether (flying strike) through 6 walls and 2 buildings, maybe the rope needs to follow terrain or something (gfx issue maybe..) or it just plain stop at walls would keep it real as much as can be said for an alien...
