Whats the current state of the game?

Back when I was playing a few months ago the matches took forever to complete and the community was really toxic and matchmaking took a while if you had preferred characters

MM is pretty quick most nights but the game isn't even out yet.

Still toxic, match-making remains a confidence scam locking everyone to 50/50 WR, and the anti-cheat may as not exist.

The playerbase keeps dropping despite all those ''free invite'' topics being pushed to the first page. 10 - 15k average.

They should post the game to play in Early Access and remove the invite thing, I know is a in dev game but, maybe this way more people will play it...

No update in a while.
Still no anti-cheat seeing that complete bots can play 40+ minutes with blatant aimbot and not be banned.
Still matched with brand new players from time to time.

Not very enjoyable.

Does anyone not know it's all bot accounts spamming them for whatever reason? Just open the threads, it's hundreds of pages of accounts saying "invite" nothing more. If you check their accounts like 1% of them actually play deadlock and have maybe 1 hour.

Valve is doing the 50/50 W/L now? Shame. I miss old server browser games. Being racist in L4D2 versus was the most fun Ive had in a while before the servers started kicking the bucket

"Bro its just an alpha playtest!" :soyjack: is such a cope. The state of the game is much further into development than valve would lead the general public to believe. Even back when I was playing it felt like the game was basically at -early access-

New people probably think the game is super popular right now because there are new invite requests every 5 minutes or sol.

Those topics create an illusion that game is on high demand which is akin to an advertisement on TV with plenty of random happy faces recommending a product of questionable quality.

Only very few would try to dig deeper. The surface though is scattered with invite request topics.

Sadly it feels like they are killing the game off or going to drop some massive patch one or the other. I feel like if they dropped a patch with like a 4 or 5 of the heroes that they been cooking for, maybe 10 new items and some other changes and then went into early access that would be super good for the game. But we shall see until then sure the match making is bad as a Seeker player (yes I know I am bad) I keep getting dumb games with people who are at least 2 levels or more higher or cheating idk which.
