Deadlock
Icefrog you have to work
They say new patches won't be "regular". You need work harder instead of looking at dying online in game . Actually, the game in beta, but it's a bad strategy involve people then lose them. You have several heroes that are completely ready, but you don't realise them. My massage is simple - don't lose the potential of this game. We need stable updates, not "random date of release"

I just spoke to Icefrog (I told her I work for Nintendo so they/them couldn't just hang up and they/them believed me) and their words were that people were too reliant on meta for what is barely an alpha.

I didn't understand all the buzzwords and nearly got caught, before asking for them in Japanese, and suggested that Icefrog was not a real game developer if they/them didn't know them, as would be the case if they spoke to other Nintendo employees.

So updates are going to be less frequent because whenever something 'overpowered' happened, players need to be more willing to experiment and adapt. You aren't actually supposed to need 5 people to take down Shiv at the 15 minute point: just get someone to copy his lifesteal + berserk items and now half the characters need half the enemy team to take them down.

"This profile is private"-types. Why hide in the discussion? We're talkin about the work being done in a program. Stay relevant.
I said 4 months ago that the game is subpar at best and them releasing it was a mistake. Even if it was invite only. Chances are the people that left won't come back because of the bad experience they had with the game. Now imagine casuals? Playing this? PLEASE this will never hold a casual player base. What you see now is what the end product is going to be. Full of smurfs, sweats, and cheeto dusted losers.

Picture this:
- This fall -> GTA 6
- This Year -> Battlefield 6
- Next Year -> BO2 Direct Sequal
- Future -> Marvel Rivals updates
= Overwatch 2 updates

WHO TF IS GOING TO PLAY PLAY DEADLOCK?

While I think you're right about it being for sweats and cheeto eatos and not for casuals, I like that it's for cheeto eatos.
Game doesn't have to be the most popular to be the best, and in fact I note the trend that the most popular games tend to not be very deep games once you start understanding them.

I'm close to agreeing with OP, but I think Vavle need to take their time with it, instead of trying to force themselves to a regular timetable of updates. We know what Valve time is like, but we also know what it has produced in the past.
