Leaver penalty WAY too punishing

1 hour ban + having to play a game with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after leaving one match because my teammates kept feeding on purpose is lame as hell. Change it.

Nope, if you don't have the courtesy to finish a match you entered then sandbag everyone else on your team, you don't deserve to play the game. For a genre where matches can last longer than an hour, every other player who entered the que was ready and set aside the time for that match. This isn't your casual Call of Duty lobby where you get to be toxic, then abandon your teammates and ready up for another match. Quit ruining matches for your teammates or find a different game

I agree with this. There needs to be a surrender vote system in place or no penalty after 15 or 20 minutes. Usually you can tell by that time who is going to win - if one team has a 10k lead by that time the game is already over. The losing side shouldn't be forced to continue playing a pointless match wasting their time when they could leave and join another one that might be more worth their time.

Nah you right. I'm taking a step back from it all, maybe it is a me problem. I just don't have the motivation/drive for committing to another esports type game. I'm being hypocritical and cynical cuz of it. Reading people's fustrations.. I can empathize with ya'll cuz I was there too. I've been frustrated by afk'ers and leavers too when I took the esports genre seriously. I'm committing to only playing these games for fun from now on. I'm in the upper middle of the bell curve in skill level, and I'm happy to stay where I'm at. I'm honestly happy to hear you say this, I'm there with you. Before (when I was in secondary school) I spent basically every afternoon to play esports game and get better, but since I finished school (couple of years ago) I started looking for a job and so on, so I don't have enough time to improve and so on but I'm okay with it, I now play more singleplayer games and now and then I do a quick match on some fps/moba, casually. Coz imo that's the sane way to live it, I don't care about it much coz it's just a game, I also dont leave coz im losing coz it's just a game.. Sadly this is what growing up feels like, we need to take charge of ur own life, can't spend so much time or energy on videogames.

the whole game doesn't respect the time of the players. the matchmaking gives me 0 and 18 teammates against an enemy with 27 kills. I said after 2 minutes that the game was over. You can tell how good people are. My teammates are always bad. Enemy is always strong. This game sucks.

The matchmaking and balance ruins the game for players.

I watched a MikaelS game recently, about 15 mins in he's at twice the soul count as all 11 other players. He said himself that the matchmaking seems messed up.
I didn't buy it at first, but then I'm watching his teammate Haze try to melee down an Ulting Warden and even I'm
He was at twice the soul count of the second highest guy at the end of the match, it was pretty funny.

You can still win a 5v6 even a 4v6 like the other guy did. This is a modern video game's industry idea that we are forced to play their game or get a punishment for leaving. There are way more multiplayer games that do not punish you for abandoning a match. It's a video game. Not a job. It's meant to be a leisure activity. If I don't want to play with this team, I should entirely be able to abandon the game and join a new one. If in another scenario... If said player is being verbally abused in the game, why should that player be punished for abandoning the game? You really think he should be forced to sit there in front of his monitor for the next 30 minutes? How does that make sense?

Probably not the game for you if you are unable to block off 45 minutes for a match. It’s as simple as that. There doesn’t need to be an argument. Just play another game, no?

Sounds like that game had a more broken matchmaking and respected your time less. Sounds more like it was giving you free wins against bots.
It's very telling that "respecting your time" is letting you win.
