Decay/Toxic bullets + Healbane shuts down his healing hard.
If you have a dash, jump, or teleport ability, then hold it until after he's burned his approach tools and use it to escape.
If he goes for a charged melee attack, then just parry; if you're really underleveled, use the stun time to escape, but if you're about equal then use it to kill him.
As the above poster said, Decay, Toxic Bullets, and Healbane shuts him down in a straight fight. For as much self-sustain and control he has, he himself has poor damage and sustain stop, so he tends to lose straight one-on-one duels without a level and item advantage.
the game was extremely fun at first when no one knew what they are doing.
If anyone tells you there's a way to counter, his ELO must be very low.
In mid game, he can easily kill everyone with combo.
I listed counters that were used in the first tournament, including ones that avoid the usual combos, while you offered a super general piece of advice and a bold, dismissive claim. Okay, sure.
Invest in mobility (sprint boost is powerful) and practice dash-sliding around cover. You can't duel him outright, but you can usually get him back off (this may be easier or harder depending on who you play).
If he engages you, look to parry. As you play against more skilled Abrams, they'll learn to swerve their punches to bait out your guard, but most people are still learning the game, so it's not a major issue. Just try not to rely on parrying him because any decent Abrams understands how to fire their shotgun.
You won't necessarily "win" against Abrams early on, but you'l hold your own in the early game. Once you hit the mid game, start looking to invest in anti-Abrams stuff.
As has already been stated: Decay, Toxic Bullets, and Healbane all impact Abram's health regen. You should also check what kind of resistances he's rocking when you're buying weapon and spirit mods.
The best way of dealing with him in the mid game is by positioning out of his range. If you see him running at you: back off. If you're on a building (high ground is key) and he's climbing up to you: back off. If you see an Abrams alone and far from friends: back off. Don't engage him on his terms. Let him engage you.
In the late game, just ramp up everything from the early and mid game. Run fast, hit hard, and stay out of danger's way. You won't be able to just "counter" him outright, and that's for the better. It would suck if you got into a match only to be hard countered with no chance of overcoming it all.
If he does get farmed, do what others have said. Dont let him get to you. If hes catching you, you probably have poor positioning (thats not a call out, positioning is a really difficult thing in Mobas, especially if you have no comms and your team doesnt ping enemies). Play with your team and dont take 1v1s if hes farmed, thats just silly
Anyone with hard CC can guarantee a kill on any hero with good coordination (like Mo and Krill, Wraith, Dynamo). He can build unstoppable to ignore CCs but he has to do it ahead of time which is hard to do. Ive also melted (and been melted by) Infernus. The weapon damage plus Spirit DoT plus Toxic Bullet bleed plus a Decay/Healbane thrown on top of that and it really hurts.
Thats all just my experience though. Im not a pro or anything. I only have 100 games
in team fight you most likely dead, if you face to face with him like even if its 6v6 he deals ton of damage just with 1 button that can be spammable
, you want to counter ? in a middle of a fight ? seriously ? it's unrealistic to hit 10/10 counter you can get sprayed while in the animation.. so how to do ? some character can slow him down but again if you don''t deal enough damage than what is the point he is tanky just need melee 1 he gain a lot of hp even a healing reduction item it's like a meme at some point of the game
so what to do ? the only option is poke from a range hoping your team deal enough damage to abrams alone when he is with his friend another 5 hero, if he is with another close type of hero like mo & krill, then good luck... that's the reality
A good thing to keep in mind is that his abilities and punches deal bullet damage, so any bullet shield and bullet resist counter him.
He is also very close ranged, so building items for that helps a lot.
Items like Alchemical Fire can put him in an akward position of taking lots of damage in return when he engages in close quarters combat, or having to run away. Hunters Aura is another one that works realy well to lower his defences to deal proper damage.
Getting Superior Stamina lets you dash a lot to dodge hit attacks, and he will have a harder time hitting you when you are in the air as well.
For less good players Cold Front (Spirit Tier 2) is a great active item that can server as panic button, that will massively slow him down. Its also a great item when you already build lots of spirit.
Mystic Slow will also stack with this, and works on other enemies just as good.
There is no real one way to counter an Abrams, but slowing him and dashing around does do a lot for staying alive long enough to wither his hitpoints down.
