Alongside that, you're also stopping others from enjoying the match as they may have other stuff to do afterwards and this could be the only time they can get some game time in.
There's also a difference between the two points above (Pausing because YOU had to do something and pausing whilst making the others suffer as they may have something to do AFTER the match).
It's a bad feature for online matches that aren't private matches.
There's a literal reason people are getting banned for pausing in a match.
