Why is there a pause button?

Because matches can take 40-60+ minutes, of which anything can happen that might pull your attention away from the game or someone loses connection, but not playing for even 5 minutes can put you at a huge disadvantage so hence the pause.

Its actually amazing. Allows you to play while still beeing available to answer the door etc for a delivery for example without throwing the match for your team.

Not when playing with randoms - it is very abusive and can distrupt the match for other players. If you've got to answer the door - go answer it. Other players shouldn't have to suffer with pausing because YOU had to go do something.

Alongside that, you're also stopping others from enjoying the match as they may have other stuff to do afterwards and this could be the only time they can get some game time in.

There's also a difference between the two points above (Pausing because YOU had to do something and pausing whilst making the others suffer as they may have something to do AFTER the match).

It's a bad feature for online matches that aren't private matches.

This function allows you to take a break while someone has something to do for a second, so good.

Maybe for quick play it's not as necessary but for ranked it's a godsend if someone crashes or disconnects, works fine in Dota2 and it's a welcome addition here too

I've played quite a few Mobas. This isn't a traditional MOBA and should NOT have a pause function like the way this game has it,

The game isn't finished yet, that's correct. However, just because you disconnect doesn't mean your team will lose. You can simply reconnect and still have a decent chance of getting back. There's more lanes you can farm on, more creatures on the map to kill and a better chance of getting back into the rhythm of the game than a traditional moba.

I too am also not alone in this mentality of there shouldn't be a pause button in this game. People have been abusing the pause button to tilt the opponents into leaving the match and so forth.

Oh, by the way - starting a convo off with "mfer" and ending with name calling just shows your lack of intelligence and desire to just start a fight.
