Once upgraded, the ult lasts longer than Metal Skin, Reflect, and Ethereal Shift and can have an AOE so massive that you can't escape it even with dashes or Warp Stone ready; you would need to have already been out of the LOS or extremely out of its range. "Already being uninvolved beforehand" is not counter-play; it's being fortunate or cowardly enough to not be participating in the exchange.
Haze can pop Silencer and Unstoppable right before ult to make it Unstoppable and inescapable via any abilities. Even if she lacks those items, the damage output is so insane that you need to pre-emptively pop Metal Skin and be a character with a built-in stun ability or a purchased item and then approach through the storm of bullets to attempt to stun her, likely while her allies are also throwing out attacks.
There is an item that prevents those struck from using their own items. You also can't pop items, dash away, or use abilities to escape if you're pre-emptively stunned by Sleep Dart, Dynamo's group stun ult, Knockdown, Abrams' AOE ult, or any of the other billion sources of stun.
Outside of the ult, Haze's guns with Fixation's insane ramp up don't require a brainstem to do absurd damage in mere seconds; if you try to use Metal Skin and/or Reflect in a 1v1, then she can still put you to Sleep and just wait for the duration to expire before resuming shooting.
Could not agree more. Just lost a 40 minute game, because our Pocket ragequitted because of Haze and we were able to effectively fight 5v6 against enemy team until Haze swooped in, popped both Silencer and unstoppable and it was gg, none of us could have pressed anything even if we wanted to. Also this guy on Haze had 50k farm, while the lead in our team had 36k and I had 34k. But she is surely balanced, right?
I completely agree with different scalings. If you go full damage, you can shred people only in 1v1, but you can get caught and punished. Also her ult being spirit would remove Silencer from her kit, which will help players deal with her, if you have something like Paradox wall or Mirage\Dynamo\Wraith's knockup. Haze won't be so farm efficient and would be forced to choose how to build and play just like the rest of champ's pool. I guess she won't ever be balanced, since she is an invis champion, but she will be manageble and not 1v11 any game after pressing 3 buttons and watching people go down with a smile. This needs to go.
1: Her Fixation should reset if it's applied to different targets. The game makes her out to be some monster for 1v1 fights, but fixation can be applied to any number of units at the same time with her ult or Ricochet (Or if she, herself, uses Reflect because Reflect triggers bullet procs which is... not a great design)
2: How the game handles cooldowns. Unlike a vast majority of games, cooldowns start when they're used as opposed to when skills end. This also applies to some other problematic ults like Mcginnis and Seven, allowing for near constant uptime on ults.
Just making skills cooldown properly would fix some of Haze's issue of nearly always having ult available.
3: Have her ult either, as suggested as above, count as a spirit ability, or, a weird non-state of it not counting as actual bullets. As it stands her ult can trigger bullet procs, which means stacking Fixation on everything nearby.
If her ult didn't stack procs it would incentive actually shooting before hitting 4, and would limit the more extreme damage done to whoever she marked/ Ricochet marked.
