Deadlock

Performance problems after new update.
Game ran fine before the update, buttery smooth no matter the settings, now at about 30 min in to every game it runs horribly, massive stutters, it becomes genuinely difficult to play and changing graphics settings doesn't help.

On my end animations are sluggish, as if they are running are a much lower framerate than the game framerate, which makes them look odd

I have the same problem and I'm on a high end PC with a 4090, i9 cpu. framerate doesnt drop much. no idea what the problem is. 30 mins into every match I get the worst input lag and stutters. its actually unplayable. I've tired lowering all my settings, going from 4k to 500hz polling rate, playing with gsync. nothing works

Same. I've had several disconnects a game now. Never even a hiccup before.

Had this exact same issue, and it turns out for whatever reason the game was not using my GPU. It was trying to run using my on-board graphics. :| Observed this when I could see GPU usage at 100% in my task manager before remembering my task manager for some reason does not display stats for my GPU, just the on-board (confirmed with external monitoring tool).

I had to go into Windows graphics settings and under graphics performance preference explicitly state for Deadlock (project8.exe in the files) to use my GPU. I chose high performance option.

After I made that change, GPU usage in my task manager was at 0% (showing it had moved away from onboard graphics) and the game ran as it did before the update.

Incredibly frustrating that I had to do any of that but please try it if you are struggling.

How strange. It seems like this has been happening to me, too, but seemingly everything is doing it now after the update. Never before has my GPU gone about 60% and now every now and again even while browsing the internet, it will spike to 100% and crash the browser, Steam and Discord. The only thing that has changed with my computer is I updated and launched Deadlock. That's a big, big problem I think

I think I may have a fix? Go to game mode settings on windows. Click on graphics. Find deadlock and set to high performance. If you cant find deadlock just click browse and search deadlock in file explorer and add it then set it to high performance.
