Deadlock

I'm unable to receive invites, please help Deadlock team
When Deadlock went no-NDA, I received an invite to the playtest from a friend, since I'm a Dota 2 enjoyer, they figured I'd enjoy Deadlock too.
As I thought invites were limited (as is often the case), and I, at the time, didn't have any interest in the game, I rejected the invite - figured it could go to someone with more interest in the game.

Then some Dota 2 streamers that I watch on occasion played Deadlock, and I saw that my initial thoughts on the game were misplaced, and this actually looks like something I'd be interested in. So yeah, figured I could join the test and help out.

Asked my friend to invite me again. Didn't work. Asked other friends to invite me. Didn't work. Invites no longer show up for me (unlike the first one). It would seem that having rejected the initial invite has just "blacklisted" me from getting any further invites.

Steam support is unable to act here, so I'm hopeful someone from the Deadlock team sees this and can sort it out, so that I can receive an invite. :)

Thank you. :)

To further add to the mystery, the forum says only Deadlock players can post here, but I (clearly) did, despite not having access to Deadlock (the store page doesn't give me the option to install).

I don't think that's ever been true. I've been able to post on the steam dis forums for a game I didn't own on Steam but had elsewhere just fine.

If you weren't able to post without access from having played the game/accepted an invite then there wouldn't be over 100 pages of "Comment here for Invite" threads.

That makes sense, yeah - it just said so at the bottom of the page when the post was under review. Eh, go figure. :)

I don't know if there's a reason for it other than an error on the invite system. Arround 10% of my friendlist never received it, even tho they got invited by multiple people.

That's certainly a bit odd. I could imagine if the accounts aren't in good standing, then they wouldn't get invited (not saying that's the case, just thinking out loud).

I'm in the same boat. I'm in family share with the person that Invited me....I have a feeling that since the person that invited me was also sharing their whole library and thus sharing Deadlock already, It thinks you already were invited and it and doesn't take the steps to allow you to actually play on your own account.
Unfortunately I saw it in my library and launched it, I didn't notice that it said it was being shared by the family share account. After playing for a bit I hopped off and they jumped on. The person that invited me says that their "in game" invite says that my user name is under the "Joined" category but I don't have an option to play or download anymore(This is following removing our family share to see if we could get it to work). Just speculation.

I've been told that this is being looked into, but there's no ETA currently.

Apparently a known issue that's being looked into, but no ETA.

You mean there's hope??? Where have you seen this because steam support said only the devs can say, and I cannot access anywhere the devs say things.

It would appear so, yes. And well, there's a lot of people who can see what the devs says, so, you know... :)

I've had this too. I have a friend who invited me + a load of others in this thread and I've never received anything. I'm thinking it's a region issue.

I found my invites from months ago but had to log into steam on chrome. Nothing was coming through on the actual Steam app. https://store.steampowered.com/account/playtestinvites
