What do you do as close range during lane phase?

I don't really know what to do early game with most character that have close range. I never feel like I'm doing much until you can get higher up in level and get more ability with shorter CD.

There's not much you can do, most people that play are super toxic and won't respond if you ask to lane swap or ask for help in lane. Just went against a grey talon as abrams and got absolutely dumpstered early game because i couldn't farm. Makes absolutely zero ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense

There is something U can do!!!! Play Close to the bridge on cover and your wappon can effectivly clear the Minions faster(also meele). Enemy cant contest u there close and u can sit there pretty comfy in cover of the bridge. When u have wave Advantage you can also play close to there Guardian, deny and presure. Its just a game of trading smart

Your number 1 priority is always getting richer than your competition and this doesn't always require killing them. Use cover and lunch more if they're denying your orbs so they can't be stolen.

Punch things to death. Killing the npcs with melee attacks prevents soul orbs from appearing. You get the cash right away with no risk of it being stolen.

I mean, those are all valid answer, but they all apply just as much to range character and just feel like your twiddling your thumb until you final get stuff you can actually use rather than bidding your time.

Only thing you can do if you're getting dumpstered that hard because the opponent is outskilling you, or more likely because this game is imbalanced as ♥♥♥♥, is abandon your lane and try to make a play in another lane, don't just stand there and get nothing out of the lane next to dying that's the worst thing you can do

Or just quit playing this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game and go back to playing Valve's other better titles, after 35 hours that's what I've decided to do
