This topic is inevitable so let me chime in

Valve, I like your designs: the characters look distinct, have a lot of flair and personality but there aren't that many characters that are hot. Look at Overwatch, not matter how hard Blizzard tries to kill it the game is still popular due to certain... Artworks...

A lot of Deadlock's characters are missing body parts or entire bodies and some have weird proportions, like, I'm sure there are people who look at Haze and think that she is hot due to her feminine shape and voice or Yamato and her mechanica llegs and her long face. A granny with a bow? Again, it scratches certain itches but more characters like Wraith who are cool, distinct AND also attractive would just make the game more appealing. Again, the current designs are quite good and the whole occult-noir-steampunk thing is great but cranking up the heat a bit would be a nice bonus.

So, what kind of designs would I suggest? Well, since the male side of things is more balanced I'll focus more on female characters. And, you know... I doubt a lot of girls are playing a third person MOBA in the first place but I'm sure they would appreciate all the Pockets, Abrams, Kelvins and so on.

1 - Seen that Bioshock infinite DLC Elizabeth? Yeah, something like that would be nice
2 - We have Abrams, a big demon boy, why not have a female character like that? No, don't bring up Ivy, I'm sure she has her fans but a demon mommy would be great
3 - A more modern witch
4 - A hitman (hitwoman?) in a classy suit on the tighter side
5 - A female Jack the Ripper, a woman you think you can fix
5 - A singer by day, a sinner at night (no need to go all Jessica Rabbit but you know, a tricky femme fatale)

I'm sure I can come up with more eventually but this should be enough to give an idea. And these focus more on the design, not kits (like, we can have a puppeteer since we have a lot of mannequin body parts and they can attack with mannequins and dolls, cc, displacement and so on).

The DA seems close to Dota 2 with colorful and exaggerated proportions. It might feel weird and not please everyone at launch, but it's new, it's different and it looks good.

I feel like those designs would make very distinct and interesting cosplay more so than many "pretty" but very conventionally good looking characters we see today.

Overwatch is not so popular, most people i know stopped playing and Blizzard is far from a good example about anything but cinematics and milking every drop of blood and money from their playerbase until none is left.

Maybe, once the game is out and rolling new content we will see some skins looking like some of your ideas.

Also, i'm pretty sure the granny with a bow is an old native american guy ;)

When people said that nobody wanted to draw concord smut I decided to go and check Rule34. Now there are entries but not a lot/ I also checked Deadlock and it's dominated by Ivy. The more you know.

Dota 2 has a lot of hot characters though.

Overwatch though, without Rule34 it would've been a lot less popular I'd imagine.

And as for the granny... Oh... Ohhh... Damn...

Edit: Also, I want to point out again that I really like the current designs, I just think that more like Wraith would be nice (both personally for me and for the popularity of the game).
