New Update made graphics out of date.

I have a older computer with a Radeon Rx 480 and I understand that it cannot run newer games well. But to my surprise on low graphics I was able to clock in about 40 hours with 0 problems, 0 crashes, the menu loaded in fine, and very reasonable load times. But with the new update the main menu loaded in stuttering, it took me over a minute to load into the sandbox and the game looked a lot worse then it use to on low in the sandbox area. And even loading into pick your characters to match make made the game lag horribly trying to load in the models. I've updated to the latest drivers but I still get the out of date graphics message. Does anyone know if valve changed much graphics wise this patch? I didn't see anything in the patch notes that could warrant such a drastic change in my experience?

I am not so much expecting a solution, but more so looking for some helpful advice. Any help is welcome, thank you.

i'm having the same issue and it seems like nothing i do seems to fix the problem.

if you have a second monitor try using the other one. i swapped and it didn't lag on my second one at all for some reason

My second monitor is older than my main one, also I forgot to mention I am getting a message in game when I launch as soon as the menu loads that I need to update my graphics drivers. But everything is updated

Game seems to be running fine actually, 70 fps on high settings. Just get the error on startup

The last update seemed to have made things run a little better. But not how it use to and I still get the warning once the menu loads. I am happy that something has worked for you!

This is just a bugged message (i think so), so dont panic.
But when u got problems with your graphics, play a little bit in the settings.
Many times low graphics dont need to be good for ur pc sometimes in some games higher graphic settings are way better than low graphics.
So try different settings and test it.

Or the normal option u can go, buy a new graphic card? i play with the RX 580 and have no problems except from the "bugged" message in the menu.

The "normal" option as you call it is not something I can really do. Without spewing my life'story, I am in no way in a position to just go out and buy a graphics card. I get less than $600 US dollars a month and would rather save what I can then splurge on something I do not need. As for the message being a possible bug that could be reassuring news, if its true.

My issue has seemed have been mostly resolved with these last few updates. I still do get the message but looking at my computer running in sandbox mode in the game my computer seems to be handling the game fine now. I am going to try a few games and see how my pc does and will most likely resolve this post if I do have no problems.
