Can't deal damage to walkers and towers

Hey sorry if this is dumb but, I deal no damage to walkers and the second row of guardians and don't know why. Even at close range, they only receive a small amount of damage and then regenerate almost instantly. I really don't know what's going on. I tried with different characters but still the same, I can damage and kill the first guardian just fine, but not the walkers. Is there something I'm forgetting?

They have resistance to damage if no minions/creeps close.
