This is incredibly boring.
That's it. that's the post....

I wish this game deserved more complaining, but it doesn't.

It's only boring if you have no clue what's going on, which i assume you don't

You literally have it backwards. If the game wasn't boring, it would make someone want to learn what's going on. Deadlock is boring as-is.

The main problem with the game is, unfortunately, balls deep. See, Valve thinks it can throw a 3rd-person perspective on the DOTA-style game and it will be a hit with twitchy, FPS-loving gamers.

The problem with this is, there is a LOT of WSAD movement involved in this game, whereas DOTA required a mouse control for main movement, freeing your left hand to control skills (keys 1-9, or whatever).

Now, players have to use WSAD constantly for movement, AND use the skill keys as well. This is normal in any FPS game, and I bet that's why they think people will love it.

The issue, for anyone who cares to look objectively at it, is that in a DOTA-style game there is often a longer match in terms of time, making the minutes drag by when you're fighting at this fast-paced level.

This makes the game seem boring because not much "ground is gained" despite the overall effort. I think gamers want either a relaxed effort with slower gains (kills, game events, etc.) or they want a faster game with fast rewards (again, kills and game events). This just feels unbalanced.

TL:DR: There is too much effort required for little gain, making it feel boring over the long-period matches.

Its not that hard lol. Overwatch is the same.

Brother the game isn't even in alpha. It is so early in development that making overly critical claims like that is pointless. You're acting as if the game is completed and ready to go out of early development build. If you really want aspects to change go to the damn deadlock discord.

In Overwatch I get 20 kills per round (or whatever is average).

There is not a quick enough kill rate in this game.

The core of the game isn't going to change.

Right now the game only has one map and one game mode - OK, it's Beta testing. I'm not a fan of the genre, but in my opinion playing against players isn't too bad. Although maybe I would have preferred a faster and more dynamic TTK throughout the game. Perhaps without the ability to buy some upgrades for souls with the presentation of characters as they are given to you. Seems partly this would make the game more like TF2?
Playing with bots is more boring and the matches are actually much faster, even though you are told otherwise at the beginning of the match lol.
Bots are much weaker than live players and don't prepare you for the realities of a regular game.
Maybe you're not really interested in this kind of genre, I don't know.
All I can say is that I would like matches to be faster, as they can be in PVE, but right now it simply doesn't work in PVP as the players put up more resistance and play more aggressively.

Imagine whining about a game because you can't be bothered to remap keybinds to your gaming mouse like anyone serious about playing games does.

I like deadock and there are too many items to comfortably use keybinds and also move with wasd. You either need a mouse with many many buttons or to be awkward forever. Even with a mouse there are still up to 8 buttons for skills and items alone, then there is parry jump, punch, dash, slide. It really isn't ok.

As someone who has played a ton of Starcraft II the amount of buttons here is pretty tame. In fact I enjoy games like this that can start to push my APM.

I can see why shooter-only people seem to struggle though, they're used to just pressing W and M1 :steammocking:

its not a shooter, its mainly a MOBA, so if you don't like games like league you most likely don't like this either.

i think its already incredible.

Someone who looks at things objectively and not through their personal lens.
