we can also tell this is the first moba you ever played because you called for the nerf of abilities that have direct counters through items.
sevens 4 only kills never players because you can press a single button with knockdown and cancel the ult, on top of any stun canceling the ult and it being line of sight damage only makes it an actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ability you should never use unless noob stomping
kelvin and any other slow are basically negated by the green speed items that are meta and part of every build currently no matter the character+you can build debuff reduction on top of those speed items
you are invincible to haze 4 by just pressing a button with metal skin. she is really squishy and can't dodge anything so you can just kill her in half a second after becoming invincible. do NOT use the ability that send bullets back at the attacker, she has innate dodge on her 4 and with lifesteal she outheals the automatic damage she takes from that ability.
and also this is an alpha and basically EVERYTHING will be changed, not only balancing and gameplay wise, before it actually releases
when the:
umm uhh uhh uhhh:
when the uhh shop uhh:

when the counterplay exists as items and being a generally more skilled player:
Im completely serious. The game is 60-70% cheese abilities you don't aim you just farm NPC's for souls to make them strong and they just melt people. Is it really a problem there should be more skill involved in games like these?
You make good points. And to be fair I don't play mobas mostly cause of what "mobas are supposed to be"
Maybe my opinion will change more with ranked but when it comes to immersion, fun, and skill I think aiming and shooting ♥♥♥♥ is cooler than a red box making it impossible to miss. I Dont have a problem with stuns. I have a problem with stuns and aoes that hit people around/through walls or buildings. People always defend the cheese its been like that for the last 15 years of gaming. Seems like a lot of you are soft and prefer easy games
Seven's ult seems crazy until you learn that you can avoid its damage by breaking the line of sight between you and the ulting Seven, for example. All sorts of things are like that in Deadlock, I think it's really cool.
The game is only kind of about "aiming and shooting," it has so much more going for it.
Yea, I appreciate its depth. Its really fun to learn for sure. I still have a long ways to go. There are just things that rub me the wrong way, for instance shiv just dashing forward and slashing someone to death in 2 hits haha its almost unavoidable unless he's detected on the map further up the lane. I guess thats what makes him an assassin type of character but it seems like you understand my issues.
I still need to find what items to op out of facing certain characters it seems and which ones to op-in too so I can counter character types
Honestly? Just keep playing. The more you watch your map the better you'll develop a feel for where enemies are on the map. Only see 3 or 4 and Shiv is missing? The last time you saw Shiv was a few moments ago when he went back to base? And you're pushed across his half of the map? It's pretty likely he's on his way to you and that's a signal for you to move away. Or a signal for you to pair up with someone else so he has to fight 2v1.
You really have so many options at any moment, that's what so hard about the game.
A lot of people complain about Abrams, but if you time your parries well and get items like Healbane then you can deal with him better than you'd otherwise be able.
The game isn't easy, you just play a bunch of it and try different things to find what works and eventually figure it out. If it's any consolation, I'm sure Valve will add more heroes with crazy skillshots over time to have fun with. This is their first big hit in years, it'll get tons of support.
edit: Actually, if you feel like you have a lot of trouble with Shiv, you should play a few games as Shiv even if you don't enjoy it. That'll help give you a feel for what he wants in a fight, so you can have a much easier time playing against him.
Yea you're right, I did forget to mention how broken sevens 3 is. I think as a character goes hes the "easiest" to learn or to play Im sure their are counters and I'll learn them over time.. but as you can tell from the patch notes the devs and other people also think hes really strong or else he wouldnt be catching so many nerfs
