Looking at the deadlock forums theres alot of threads talking about the urn being on the wrong side of the map, eg: Amber leading with urn on amber side.
I think the devs accidentally swapped the urn delivery spot placement for whoever is leading so it should be spawning on the side of the losing team as you say so probably gonna wait for another patch to fix it.

I think its an amusing change bc before, when my team would ignore the urn, I would often take it and pull it back to base just to drop it to deny it or force the enemy team to go deeper for it. Point being, something other than 1 player getting ganked at the dropoff or it just going to the other team.
