Report a translation problem
The new voice is better for clarity and agency, but I wouldn't have minded if the old one stayed either. With any luck you'll be able to replace it back if you want to with some pak-file shenanigans.
That makes sense but I feel like valve would like more quality with the delivery of the old voice as opposed to the new one where it feels bland.
Either way, there's an effect they do anyway which lowers the volume of the patron voice if a hero voiceline is playing at the same time.
But yeah, if it comes down to it, i'll probably try that out because I miss it so much </3
The new one feels like it doesn't fit to a godly outer-planar entity as the Patron
The new one is faster and clearer, which is better for clarity but it definitely lost some of its grandiose colors.
