RANT | Low Priority Matchmaking

As a person who understands how valuable time is, im baffled that im punished for leaving a match when the team is shi*. Being that the average game is 40 minutes long, that would entail me having to sit there with meatheads who don't know how to play for that long. Why as the person who leaves am I being punished for saving my time and potentially looking for a better team?

How about we punish people for not knowing how to play instead of victimizing them. You Valve can do that by creating a reporting function which mentions them as an un-experienced person and having them thrown into low priority after "x" amount of people report them, instead of throwing the people who don't want to deal with that BS into the low priority matchmaking themselves.

How about we use some common sense? This is a societal issue as well in the states

Im really hoping this is a joke post, because its pretty overtly heinous. In case its not for anyone reading, do not do this. Leaving a game ruins the experience for the other 11 people still there. Playing a Moba is a commitment, even in quickplay. Sometimes life gets at us and we have to leave or go afk, it sucks but it happens. Thats why you arent punished for only leaving rarely. leaving just to find a new team is not good for the game, and inexperienced players should never be reported or punished (playing poorly is punishment enough).

Inexperience players should be reported and placed in a match of their own. The report wont ban you, itll put you into low tier games. No different than what they have now but to the actual players that need it. Currently the game punishes those that know the game is going bad and finds it faster to leave/ forfeit. Your thought process is similar to that of the Defense attorneys in Blue cities. Lets let the criminals (bad players) get away but lets punish the guys who can see the writing on the wall (good guys) who leave get punished.

Playing poorly is not punishment enough because they will not care and will continue doing it. Once again, back to the criminal reference. Lets let the criminals (bad players) away with a hand slap they'll surely learn. But lets punish the good guy (players who leave) for caring about their time and put them into low priority matchmaking

What does leaving have to do with what I deserve? You just sound spiteful. Currently its 50% whether you get a shi* team or a good one. Wouldn't you think its just to be allowed to leave a game if you are given a bad hand?

If I told you - your next game will be trash would you want to get destroyed for the next 40 minutes of your time? What if I told you your next 3 games (120 mins) are going to be trash would you stay? What if I told you every single game after that will be trash? Would you stay? I dont think so.

Also yes, you literally do play the turd game, its how the noobies learn: while they're dead you guru up a bit, maybe you'll get a commendation if you unplug your mic; if you arent trash, you get some actives, you get some kills and fun out of a loss, you gank some rivals and stuff on the way out. It's a good time to field midgame item combinations you don't usually pick.

Leaving is the most scumbag thing to do. You can make comeback much easier in this game than other games. Many times i've had a team which started like ♥♥♥♥. Then at 30-40 minutes mark we win a teamfight and push the nexus for the win. If you dont have time for a few 40 min matches pls dont play or you ruin the game for others.

Stop lying to yourself. I've left plenty of matches and never got in low prio Q. You have to be leaving a ton of matches.
