New Urn locations and the 10% souls difference
This is how I read this change:
Valve believes that 10% souls difference is big enough to automatically help out the losing team. Which means, Valve's opinion is that 8% souls difference is big.

IMO 10% soul difference is nothing. Or at least not big enough to give such a huge advantage to the losing team. If it would be up to me, I would increase this threshold to 12-14% souls difference.(or something like that)
Anything below that can easily be recovered with farming and not playing stupid.

It also raises a question in me.
If Valve thinks 10% is big enough to help out the losing team in such a big way, what's the souls difference that is unrecoverable? 35k? 50k? 75k?
I believe we have to differentiate between actual doable comebacks and delusional, time wasting, "cosmetic comebacks".

Edit: Thanks for clarifying, the 10% diff come with 10/27 update.

The threshold is 10% difference of souls between teams, so for a 7k diff to be enough to activate the easier urn spot, one side would need to have 63k or less, and the other would need to have 70k or more.

That’s still fairly early game, and soul gap needs to be larger as the game progresses.

Damn, you are right. It's a percentage difference, not a fixed number.
Today I learned. Thanks.
