defense of hogar descending stairs

playing Defense of Hogar and there are these super long stairs down a waterfall that seem to lead to nowhere and nothing. It was neat to explore it, but am I missing an achievement or some secret loot?

I believe those are the stairs Irsis used to reach Hogar.
And a small tip: At the botton you can place three mist collectors for some additional endgame units.

ohhhhhhhhhh. yes. i was wondering where else i could get mistfuel as I could only locate one source of the stuff.
