- you destroyed another beacon / moved it so it's influence area doesn't reach the current beacon anymore -> try to build a new beacon to check the area if it still overlaps with the problematic beacon
- you blocked the way from the beacon to the citadel by accidentically closing a "gap" it needed, happens quite easily if you place to many buildings or walls without doors
- you recently redesigned a defense wall with a needed doorways and suddenly the door is not usable anymore, happens easily if you don't leave 2 blocks high of space in your wall structure with the door or build the door right beside a slope -> build doors in walls ideally on "even" floor with 2 tiles high space
- you had a doorway in a wall but to reach it you had to build stairs in front of it which got destroyed by an enemy -> path blocked -> build doorways ideally without the need of stairs in front of it
For buildings with workers likes sawmill, quarry it's a bit easier to see if they're blocked because when they have a clear way to the citadel / warehouse a stonefloor will appear and vanish as soon as their paths are blocked.
