Omg how to make bridges?

Game feels interesting and fine. Finished the missions in the demo but when I try the skirmish I get totally stuck, Not understanding how im supposed to make a bridge over to the quarry area. I can only build upwards not across gaps like there is there

When a bridge is built over a gap there has to be some support. For instance, if we put down a "stone half arch" then put a "wood half arch" on top, that stone base increases the stability of the bridge to traverse larger gaps. After that put down "stairs" as need to traverse up and down the bridge. Then depending on the situation copy the same idea on the other side of the gap. The new blueprint option can help make copying easier as well.
