How to unlock remaining characters?

I completed the game and got the entire team + Boris and Nino unlocked. How do I get the other characters

I wanted to ask if you get other characters in the game like I thought you would, seems like that is indeed a thing.
I was interessted in characters like Suneko, the pirate one and Vampi, can't remember the other name.

I believe you get Suneko on chapter 4.. not sure about Vampi and the pirate boy since I don't have them yet.

Well I completed the game and I have every single member that joins your team + Boris and Nino.

You get the team members as they join you and Boris and Nino once you complete the game.

However characters like Pixie, Cubo or Vampy do not get unlocked which seems weird since the characters are obviously in the data base with full skill sets. I tried searching for them after the game was done but could not find any.

That's kind of dissapointing. Otherwise I assumed at some point you might have the chance to recruit some random characters or some like Suneko which didn't joined the tournament.

That means it's set in stone when you get them and while I haven't thought much about them, Pixie and Vampy would have been nice too.

It's nothing big I guess, but it is something i was a bit excited about, to have maybe sidequests to recruit certain characters and maybe some that aren't shown right away.

edit: what do you even do with Boris and Co if you get them after the game?

it seems the only option is multplayer and no online mode if I got that right.

Yea Boris and Nino are only for multiplayer since they don't join your team, you just unlock them for versus mode.

As for the others maybe they will roll out an update with them being unlockable / unlocked. I hope so at least.
