Affinity system

i don't really know what am i doing wrong, the thing is i got all the cores and i kept playing for quite a while my main problem is that i am trying to enhance the boss cores yet it's never explained what even is the "affinity system" or how do you even unlock the boss cores at their full capacity because i have tried everything yet i have no affinity with neither of them any idea ?

I think the idea is that you have to defeat bosses to both unlock and ugrade cores. When you unlock core, you'll get a new machine that will allow you to configure your cores set. Above each core you'll see the progress line that will show you what bonuses you'll get from higher affinity.

as far as i have played, yeah i have beaten every boss and with their respective cores against bosses (around 5 times each) yet i have no idea why it doesn't upgrade at all, also the progress is nowhere to be seen, maybe i will unistall and reinstall that might fix it

So you don't actually get affinity until you have a specific upgrade that's found in the Hideout. It's past that side route that you need the walljump to traverse.
