remake/remaster Syberia 1 et 2 it's time now - -
hello ,don't you think it's about time they did a remake / remaster of syberia 1 and 2 now?

enough time has passed and we could redo these two games with the new recent engine from Syberia.
To have a graphically more decent game, and especially a handling nowadays.
Review the puzzles for those who already know the game perfectly, there is a way to do something good ...
what have they been waiting for seriously for all these years ...

Microids seem indifferent to the demand of the community and prefer to release games such as
My Universe School Mistress, Baby, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, asterix and obelix ...
and we fans of Syberia we have the right to nothing, not even a clear communication on this subject ...

so microids do you plan to do something someday for these two games that need a good remake / remaster today ??

No. Because:
1. Syberia 1 and 2 are more graphically decent than Syberia 3. Same with the handling.
2. They can't even port the first two games to others platforms without messing them up.

I would like a lot to see the gorgeous locations of Syberia 1-2 in 1080p 16:9, but it would require a lot of work to do a complete re-rendering and to adapt to the new screen ratio without giving a "stretch image" effect.

I miss the Voralberg Train so much...

They already did this for Switch (And maybe mobile?).

It shouldnt be so hard to port the Switch version to PC.

I can't really see any benefit to porting the Switch version, the updates to the graphics were minor and the widescreen setting just stretches the 4:3 image across the screen, which looks terrible.

As the original PC versions still work (although you may need to run a third party program to limit the FPS to get the second one working properly) and still look decent any new version would need to be significantly enhanced to justify charging for it.

That's what I was talking about!

Yeah, that's why I think they'll never do that.

No, I much prefer the graphics and handling of Syberia 3 and the world before.

it's super heavy the gameplay of syberia 1 and 2 the menus are graphically horrible it's still pretty even if today it's outdated.

It is the artistic side that has not aged a bit; you confuse the artistic and the 3d.

So yes there is a need for a remaster of 1 and 2

Remakes of the original two games would be great but honestly I'd prefer them done with care considering the recent installments were entirely developed with Unity. I've noticed how they could be sabotaged with wacky programming and other nonsense if not considered. I think original fans and newcomers should have plenty of innovative content to experience so it never feels outdated or boring.

As exploration games, there should be more dynamic areas to explore.

First time reading this opinion. Maybe they fixed the handling in 3 after I played it. At the time I played the game it was a train wreck on way too many points. The dialogs where also hard to handle with this lip synch and tongue movement which was just creepy for me.

Jeah, I might be a fangirl for the first parts and the UI there might need an overhaul to work today, but overall it was much better quality then Part 3. But I accept you like it more. As said ... maybe you didn't have as much problems as me with it. Depents on patchrate and PC.

Sure, the 3d elements (characters, objects, animations) could be improved. But not if they break everything else to achieve that.
