How to get Montezuma's Revenge to work on Windows

So I just recently purchased Montezuma's Revenge and like a lot of gamers, it wouldn't work.

In order to get the game to work you need to install the following, both the 32bit and 64bit variations if you are running Windows 10 or 11. I recommend installing them in chronological order and then rebooting your PC.
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86)

A pro tip. Windows Pro comes with these updates installed automatically, whereas Windows Home does not, so you have to install them yourself. If the game doesn't run right after install, then you are probably running Windows Home. Hope this helps.

For reference, you can find the VC++ redistributables all in one convenient place[www.techpowerup.com]. They are kept up to date there so you don't have to go hunting for them.

I appreciate your intention, but I must recommend that people ONLY download DLLs from the Microsoft site. All needed DLLs are now included via Steam in the most recent update.
