I agree people should be able to play with KB+M if they wanted, but considering so much of PC gaming can be restrictive when it comes to specs and sometimes price, I think paying some bucks for a controller you'll use for years doesn't seem like a big deal. Many games in consoles had specific controllers and setups required for it, also. I guess you'd vote with your wallet in this case.

The only way to replicate that with M/KB is to swing the mouse in a direction, which is imprecise and doesn't feel good to the player.
If this game actually had mouse and keyboard support, you wouldn't enjoy it.
