Hey everyone,

Welcome to the launch of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle on PC!

I wanted to make a central bug thread so you guys know what we're working on and what information we need when you email us about any bugs you encounter. I'll be trying to scour the threads for new issues, but if something's not up here already please post it in this thread so it'll be easy for me to find.

Useful debug information:

• DxDiag output
  
• Steps to reproduce the issue
  
• Screenshot of in-game settings
  
• Crash dump files
  Often located here %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps
  It would be from nmh2.exe

Please email [e-mail] with these details if you are experiencing issues with the game.

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!

• Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
  
  • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    
  • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
• Add No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
  
  • nmh2.exe is the executable file you need to add.
• Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
  
  • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    
  • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
• Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

My game is back to overall not wanting to load besides the unresponsive black screen. When it does load, I can play the level I'm on which is the Matt Helms stage, but the game crashes in the area with all the big guys before the bridge whenever I roll a Dark Side Mode. I tried several times tonight when the game would let me in, and that area of the level would always lock up at the same part. I was looking forward to these ports so much. We all were. I feel like we're all the toilet. NMH1 took some work getting off the ground but at least in my experience it worked once it did. Only had one very early crash. NMH2 on the other hand straight-up doesn't work for me. Black screen, crashes, controller loss, and one single actual play session in the middle of it all. Really hanging onto the good Wii memories so I don't snap...lol.

Loading transitions from the world map to an area have caused multiple crashes for me. Example: I finish doing a side job and go to the motel to save. The game crashes on the loading screen after I select the motel.

Another thing I just noticed was I can buy a Weapon I already have from Naomi. I bought the 1st weapon for sale a 2nd time after the 2nd weapon for sale became available.

Edit: I posted something else but it was my own mistake and not something with the game. My bad.

The game doesn't even support a PS4 or xbox one controller. Most players bought the game but can't play. I guess it's time for valve to get involved and perhaps some refund.

my game crash when i plug my ds4 controller via bluetooth, when the bluetooth is off the game runs smoothly

Update seems to have done the trick! No crashes so far.

Any news on fixes for the broken achievements?

crashes still seem in was able to beat the battle royal boss but on the rank advancement screen loading into the next part freezes up

You didn't fix the always online bug you ILLEGALLY falsely advertised.

You didn't fix the messed up animations.

You didn't fix the NMH1 glasses bug you introduced with the switch release when Travis' changes clothes.

You didn't fix the NMH1 broken baseball minigame and the resulting broken achievements.

You didn't fix the NMH1 wack animations because Travis' idle animation is the opposite stance of his attacks, so he waits in a low stance when doing high attacks and vice versa, which looks JANK.

You didn't fix the sound balancing.

You didn't fix NMH1 death metal's goatee beard being stuck to his neck and not animating with his chin movements.

For OVER A YEAR YOU REFUSED TO PATCH THE SWITCH GAME WHICH YOUR MOST RECENT PATCH INTRODUCED MORE BUGS

You bugged the switches recharge sensitivity for motion not being sensitive enough and Gamepad being TOO sensitive and easy AND NEVER PATCHED IT.

The physical version of the Switch release has all these bugs you caused & refuse to fix or acknowledge while self promoting on twitter how good a dev team you are.

You REFUSE to communicate with fans.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELVES???

I can't seem to launch the game, when I launch it gives me a black screen and a small white box and then crashes when I click anywhere, I don't get an error message or such

Are you using a DS4 controller with bluetooth enabled? If so, you should disable it and it'll run the game no problems. For some reason, the game boots up normally when you disable bluetooth.
