Problem after beating death metal

Hello. I have a really frustrating problem. When I beat Death Metal and after two cutscenes after that I should have been in Travis apartament,instead i'm stuck in a black screen and I can't do anything. How to fix this?

go into properties and put the game in the 2021 version, this should fix the black screen in the apartment, but it adds the possibility that the game crashes on the results screen. For some reason this only happens on some computers so I'd definitely email xseed about this because it is happening to a larger percent of players than they think

Replace the STG and STG_HI files from the latest version of the game with the ones from the 2021 version, this will fix this bug and pretty much all of the other ones from the 2021 version

Turns out the only file needed from the 2021 version is the STG500US file from the STG folder, plop that into the latest release's STG folder and it should be good

nvm figured it out. If you right click your game and go into its properties there is a tab that says beta, go into that. in there you can select a beta participation branch and in there you can change it to 2021.

yeah i change it to 2021 version, then the game still crash when right after i saved the game in motel bathroom

Hi there :) New player here
I've tried this, going back to the 2021 version & I still get the black screen after defeating Death Metal. I've gotten crashes, many black screens while starting the game - it's almost at the point where I'm going to claim this game as "Broken."
