Who TF plays a hack and slash with KB+M?

I fully stand by the devs decision to require kb+m. you wouldn't play fighters, racers, or hack and slash with kb+m. I'm saying this as the most die-hard fps player on earth. I have 30 mice. As a person who grew up with this game, this simply wouldn't work with kb+m.

rune and one must fall definitely make sense though because there's camera control for rune and omf looks like a 2d game. AFAIK nmh doesn't have that.

Desperate times call for desperate solutions. I used to play original DMC 3 port with kb+m. Heck, I even played Guitar Hero 3 with kb.


Now yes, I will use a gamepad for this, but seeing how they couldn't bother implementing such a basic feature is concerning.

I played Bayonetta with KBM and it was great.

Killer is Dead is fine with KBM.

I've even played Dark Souls with KBM (1 wasn't comfortable, but playable. 2 and 3 are fine).

And BTW, I play fighting games with the keyboard since the MS-DOS era. I've played and beat all the Need for Speed games ever made with the keyboard.

A game like this HAS to support controller, that's obvious.

But it baffles me that some people really defends their decision to don't even bother implementing KBM controls. IT'S AN OPTION! MORE options are not bad!

And BTW, the only two games EVER on Steam that requires controllers are this one and Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. Both of them look like lazy, cash-grab ports. Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah its all directly correlated., with that said, KBM is always superior opteion for ALL GAMES, only exception is games where there are controls,most often for vehicles, where you apply pressure to the button on gamepad and it keeps a specific target speed.something you cant do on majority of keyboards.but keyboard mouse is always superior. more buttons and extremely much better camera control

You are on a platform called the personal computer. It's amazing to have choices where you can personalise your own gaming experience. It's up to you how you want to play your games and it's all personal preference.

I don't understand people that choose to play FPS games with a controller but it's awesome that there's the choice....

Said it for Ninja Gaiden and I'll say it even here: choice.

I know people who play shooters with controllers and driving games with KB/M.
Do I give them ♥♥♥♥ for it? No. Why the hell would I wanna do that? Am I that sad of a human being to complain about people feeling more comfortable with one option rather than the other?

If people wanna play a PC game with PC controls, they should be allowed to.
KB/M is the primary control device for any PC, a quick mapping would literally be the easiest thing ever to implement. This isn't a "smart, well-pondered decision". Call it for what it is: laziness.

Secondly... This isn't some super technical, complex game (like the aforementioned Ninja Gaiden) we're talking about here, it's No More Heroes.
Games like DmC Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta and many others have decent PC controls (even if they still recommend using a controller over KB) and I'm fairly sure we can all agree that those games are a helluva lot harder and, from a mechanical standpoint, much more advanced.

So I ask: what's No More Heroes' excuse? Lemme answer that... There are no excuses.
It's lazy.

You probably meant devs decision to not support kb+m, not require, right? ;-)

But to sort of answer your original rhetotical question - you probably know there are many gamers playing FPS games on consoles and thus almost exclusively using controllers. Imagine devs and producers saying "Nah, these games are designed with kb+m in mind, playing with controller would not provide the proper experience, we will certainly not bother to code some aiming assits for you losers, buy PC and play it there" It would be stupid and lazy and they would not do it because they would loose sales. Console devs bringing their ports to PC are however somehow either too ignorant about PC gaming or just sure that their fanboys proud about using controllers will gladly buy any cr.p

Played Dark Souls with KBM. Was working just fine. It just depends on what you prefer to play with. Even play For Honor with KBM and it works really well. The only thing that really doesn't work are Fighting games like Mortal Kombat, SF or DBFighterz. Everything else works and simply depends on what you prefer to play with.

It depends on the game, some I do some I don't.

I think the option should exist either way just like the option to use a gamepad should exist.

What doesn't matter is the button icons on the screen lol. playstation or xbox buttons who cares all the same.
