Manage your controller configuration for this game and go to the left stick, Additional Settings, and set "Enable Deadzone" to either Calibration or Configuration. This way instead of Asha jittering when moving the stick top-left, top-right or bottom-left, it'll only happen with the bottom-left axis. And then to fix that completely, set the Stick Response Curve to Custom and at about 75% (test it out bit by bit until the jittering is gone).
While you're there you can also inverse the function of the left and right triggers, and the Cross and Circle buttons so menus aren't so confusing. (Seriously why is B confirm and A cancel?)
The fact that we have to change no less than 3 settings ourselves is ridiculous. We need a patch, devs!
Also trying to adjust the volume slider for BGM/Sound FX/Voice is a pain in the butt because one press/single increment registers as multiple presses/increments. Had to resort to using my keyboard arrow keys to adjust these correctly.
Also an odd discovery but if I connect my controller to Steam after the game is loaded, I have none of the above issues.
