Seeds
Having played last year and left the game to mature a bit more, I'm finding that on return trees don't seem to drop a seed commonly anymore.

It's getting to the point the area around pop pop's shop is quite barren.

Is there a new means to get more seeds these days or is this how it is now?

Hey Darkside99x,
The seed drops were rebalanced sometime in the last year.
The tips I have to get more seeds are:
- Stumps of trees are more likely to drop seeds than the trees themselves
- The Bamboo Scythe has an increased seed drop chance so if you use it to harvest your crops, you're more likely to get more seeds back

There are also some NPC shops where you can buy seeds if you're running low. I hope this helps!

Does the scythe help on tree/bamboo stumps?

So far the ratio is 1-2 seeds for every 8-9 bamboo clumps which is.......not sustainable.

I'd hazard a guess that having employee's gather materials is the intended progression at this point.

Yeah the scythe does help on the stumps and trees as well!
But you are right that once you get to a certain scale of resources, employees are probably the way to go.

Is anyone aware of a sustainable way to get glowing mushroom seeds?

I haven't found a vendor selling them and the return on harvesting is woeful.

Those ones are intended to be rare as their harvest is so powerful and profitable. I would consider adding a vendor for them if that's something players want.

Honestly, the farming as a whole seems to be kind of unrewarding currently with no means to be self sufficient unless I'm missing something.

For the mushrooms, sending a gatherer to collect them ends up with substantially more than the 12 plot of glowing mushrooms I tried farming and has no limits on return bar employee wages.

We do have some farming improvements coming down the pipeline to improve the loop there. And we have also heard complaints that the gathering employees are too powerful, so the balance there is something we're looking into adjusting as well. For resources that you currently can't gather with employees like wheat or grapes, setting up a profitable farm should be much easier to do.
Thanks for the feedback though! I hope we'll have some good improvements for you in the future. Let me know if you have any other feedback for us.
