copper ore where?

I heard in another old thread it is at a "research center" south east of pop's shop, but I can't find that at all... (is it between there and Ambrosia, or farther southeast?)

You can get a whole bunch of copper ore near the big glowing meteor East of Kazai village. The meteor is Northeast from Ambrosia's camp. You'll need radiation protection to mine copper safely. There's a merchant somewhere in Kazai village who sells gear that gives radiation protection. There are also small meteorites scattered all around the island that you can mine copper ore from. I found one on the beach West of Pop Pop's Shop Plot. Look for glowing blue stone pillars and you'll find copper ore nodes somewhere nearby.

You can also get the recipe for said protective equipment if you follow the researcher quest.

Copper ore is always in craters. Look for the neon blue crazy rock branches. Radiation will slowly kill you, but if you're quick you can hop in, grab the ore, and get out to heal.

If you go south of the big main crater they're all talking about, just north of the researcher's camp, there will be a suspicious hole with some stones in it. Mine those stones and keep digging down them.

At the end of the tunnel, is about 100 copper, completely safe from radiation. Should suit all your early game copper needs. Quite confident that tunnel respawns anyways, so, no biggie.

I know there is certain ronins that ive killed that also carry it that ive come across

if you kill outlaws near the farm you can also get an ok amount of ore.

can confirm the ore does respawn. but not the stone

can you elaborate on this.. what gear.. i found the armor guy, but you cant see armor specs without buying it first. What gear gives rad resist?

It's the "hazmat vendor".

All he sells is the full Hazmat gear. It's in he "bazaar"-ish looking section, where there's a bunch of small shacks set up selling stuff. It's pretty close to the guy who gives the Sharpness upgrade to your weapons.
