Thanks for all this great feedback! Glad to hear you are enjoying the game and we very much appreciate the suggestions.
Since you made your original post, we changed the bamboo trees to no longer deal damage to structures, so it should be a lot safer to remove them. They will still damage displays and items but if you have a roof over your shop, you should be good to go.
The other ones are all good ideas and I hope we will have some good news for you soon regarding some of them. Inventory sort is definitely a highly requested feature.
Thanks again and happy shopkeeping!
Awesome! Thanks for taking time to read my post and respond! That's great to hear the tree-fall damage for structures has been negated - great change!
I'd say invisible power wires and a snap-grid placement system would at the top of my wish-list. Looking forward to seeing how SB unfolds!
Hey Draconian Statue, good to know! I wasn't ware of that.
However, a more immsersive way would be to be able to control the falling direction like in real live.
Like registering from which direction the tree was first hit and making it fall into that direction. Currently the trees appear to just fall in whatever direction they like. It would be really more fun to have more control over that.
I also 2nd the sorting request and the grid placement option for objects :D
Tree seeds and others if similar, should be able to be planted while held as a group. Currently you have to separate them as single seeds to plant them.
Flooring should have the base foundation texture as a floor option. I want my castle floors which look nice...
One click moves from inventory to crates, etc. This would mean pressing ctrl or another button.
Highlight Players Death Box, It's hard to tell where they are sometimes as they can be in tall dark grass.
Also the notation on the map for player death boxes may need to be tested further. I have had recent notations disappear when the box is still there and I have several notations for death boxes that I have already retrieved but remain on my map.
Thanks for adding this feedback. I will log some of it to our list to work on in the future, but the good news is I think that we already support some of these features, so I thought I would respond and clarify that.
- Crouch toggle would be useful! I added it to our QoL request list.
- If you hold a stack of seeds in your hotbar and equip them, you can place them one by one without manually splitting the stack.
- Thanks for the input on more flooring options! I'm always looking for ideas for more building pieces so I think I can make this one happen!
- If you hold shift and click an item, it will one-click transfer items between inventories.
- Good point about highlighting deathboxes better. We used to highlight player and enemy deathboxes more with pillars of light but tried removing them to respond to some feedback that the visuals were too cluttered. Perhaps we can bring that effect back just for player death boxes. If you ever truly can't find your deathbox, you can speak to Burke O'Hare in Kazai Village and he will teleport it to his stall for a fee.
- The markers on the map do not automatically disappear. If you right-click on a marker, it clears it. So, markers for death boxes you have already collected probably need to be cleared by you, and I think that markers that cleared before you wanted them to may have been unintentional clicks. I could see us making this system more automatic in the future, though.
I hope this helps! Let me know if I misunderstood any of your points or if you want any more clarification. Thanks again for the feedback and for playing Saleblazers!
The shift click is great as I did not know that. It might be helpful to have that listed somewhere on the inventory page.
Some of the fonts need to be made a little larger and different colors as the contrast between them is not enough to read.
The flooring is great, but I find the foundations to be prettier. Bamboo and castle so far are really nice as a floor texture. The bamboo almost looks like you could light the floor up to have some light underneath and the castle stone looks better than the castle wood flooring.
Some of the lighter textures are nice because you can see them so well.
Villagers remembering, not sure if this has a timer or revenge counter, but it would be nice if you could pay or repent to get some of them to stop. I have killed several villagers on accident because they appeared to be hostile. Two villagers run at you in a hostile area... do you wait to be attack or kill first... uh oh, Sophie and Bridgette will remember this. Or cowboy villager in hostile outlaw territory, just happened to be in the direct line of the crosshairs, welp take him out... oops John will remember this. I think an altar in main villages would be a nice touch, pray for John's forgiveness...
Deathboxes would be good to have the box itself highlighted, no lights above as you can use the map to get close enough. It would make it visible if you have direct line of sight and not too many distractions from boxes behind objects.
As far as the markers on the map are concerned I would suggest a marker box on the map that says, "Show deathboxes", this would be a checkbox that will allow you to see deathboxes and uncheck them to clear your map if it feels unnecessary. This could help prevent the accidental parts. You may be right about me deleting by accident.
NPC deathboxes could be highlighted... or if possible maybe shorten the grass when there is a box... I like the tall grass, but sometimes it is like playing easter egg hunt just to find nothing there or to randomly come across a box or hat in the tall grass.
As far as seeds are concerned it would be nice if you could keep in main inventory to plant, mostly because of weapons and food in inventory.
It has taken me a while to become comfortable in my exploration as I find new game mechanics and understand some of the others, but so far this is a fun game and I look forward to finding new game mechanics, recipes and tactics. Thanks for making a fun game and being honest and taking the time to read the feedbacks.
Have a stand for guns to stand next to each other in a row or a gun mount on the wall.
For shelves, guns like pistols should be turned sideways instead of the outward position.
The picture frame display is a nice touch, but for things like a rifle it is overkill in size. Taking up the lower section of the frame, but hey I can see a rifle there.
It could also be nice to have hanging signs or posts for different good. Its possible this could be elsewhere in the game and I have just not found it yet, so putting it out there just in case.
On mine before I understood to just stack stairs, I have a roof inside my shop to get up stairs. Much faster and takes less room. Cosmetically it looks better with your stairs just stacked, which would be nice to just have one high enough for the next floor.
Grenades, flashbangs and such need better detail on how to prime and how to throw. I don't know how to prime or throw, but when I try to throw with left click I swing with it, when I right click I block. At some point I primed it and got blinded with scrap in my inventory afterward. Funny but not helpful. Treat it like someone is stupid and it will make it easier at least for me, lol.
I should note crop seeds work in the way that was described, they don't need to be equipped and just need to be in inventory and just get planted by dragging them, unlike the tree seeds which have to be separated.
Also as a suggestion for placements. It would be nice to have a red and green arrow on front and back to show proper placement. To show which way it is facing. You currently have to do it multiple times with some objects like pictures and display boxes.
