Replanting Palm Trees

- I tried placing coconuts

Anyone know how to replant palm trees? They are a good source of plant fiber, but I'm not able to replenish my island, so I stopped cutting them down.

My currently solution has been to make new games and decimating the palm trees there. While also specifically hiring NPCs to collect plant fiber.

It's not a priority but I just have an ugly chunk of my island where my shop is with no palm trees that I'd like to regrow.

Palm trees cannot be planted/grown. Not sure what you're using all that plant fiber for, but regular apple bushes are a great source of it and they regrow in a day without the quick grow policy enabled. You don't even need to water them.

Apples bushes are inconsistent when dropping seeds. It's like a return of 1 seed per 5 bushes. It' s a loss. It's much faster to hire workers to gather. In 2 days with just 4 workers on a short schedule I'll have a full box of plant fibers. Problem is the lack of trees in a corner of my shop area. I'd like to replant palm trees to make it look aesthetic again.

Are you using a scythe to harvest them? I've very very very rarely lost a seed and can just go beat down a random bush in the world to replace it when I do. Gathering workers are definitely faster all around.

Oh never tried the scythe to harvest them. Just tested farming yesterday and it didn't occur to me to use a scythe on the apple bushes. Thanks for the tip on that.

In terms of the plant fiber, I'm going through hundreds as I'm trying to create legendary rarity for all my gear.

All your gear? Oof. I've certainly found better gear for some slots than I can make myself. I should really do better on the stuff I can craft too though.
