I guess my only question is....do they defend your shop to?

this is my question and the most important thing to me i hope there is a focus on NPC being smart enough to do other things then generic bots..would love to see them have some substance like kenshi (traveling/caravans with trade goods/trading animals that you can see that aren't inside inventory) lets hope they put some focus on that.

Currently, NOC employees are only capable of doing tasks that you assign them. They currently do not defend or participate in combat.

You need to unlock the hiring post from the research board. It will let you craft the employee table which can be used to hire an amount of employees(max 8) relative to the shop's level.
