I'm definitely going to do more in the costume department in future updates, but I'm limited due to the character system in-use, which is a carry-over from New Nightmare and Nightmare Chronicles.

Characters like Lydia and Hank, I was able to actually switch up their clothing a bit. Others with clothing I had no control over just got the beginning of crazy hats.

I'll definitely try to do more, but that's also why I didn't lock the costumes behind any special mechanic. They just unlock as you naturally proceed through the game.

I wanted to comment a bit on these costumes since it's up. I only got to the point of getting the casual / "random pot head" ones. I am not against some of the casual attire myself. A nice little extra for those who happen to get the easier coins. It really didn't take that long for me to unlock the first costume so I do feel that one should be a simple one (obviously if you can make something more unique to 'pot head' characters is a plus too). Whatever you end up doing because modeling characters is easier said than done. I had two suggestions and you are welcome to do what you will in the end. But the second costumes should definitely be something more special since you are grinding for them. Just to show the player you put the work into this so here is your reward. These are just simple ideas for that unlock.

The first was having a costume that pertains to their past. Lydia being an undercover cop, maybe a police uniform / detective suit; Kane with something artsy; Harry having a firefighter uniform or some athletic uniform (anything is fine for the characters for this idea)

The second was something more of a "cameo" costume for all the characters. Since there is a lot of inspiration from survival horror so why not take liberties with costumes from other games in the franchise. I also get you can't copyright that is a given, but maybe outfits that "look similar" would suffice.
