The os is windows 10 btw.
On windows 11 which has ucrtbase.dll version 10.0.2000.1 the game works fine.
Others should also check their windows event viewer logs. Just type in "event viewer" in the start menu, and browse to Windows logs\Applications. Look for logs of type error at time of crash and post their result.
