Again, I acknowledge that it has it's issues. I feel that lighting torches is quite a bit more tedious than before since you can't see everything at once and therefor seeing highlighted torches is harder, but that's just how updates are. Some good aspects, some bad.
Being unhappy with it is okay, but I feel that a lot of this hate is kind of cruel to the developers. It's clear that a lot of love, attention to detail, and lore went into this map. This has been in development for years I believe.
Suggestions:
* This is a PC version. Pre-load the map if possible to get rid of the load time. Most of us have the memory/processor overhead to do that. If we only had to change maps once or twice, the loading delay EVERY time wouldn't be bad, but there are a LOT of islands to go through; It adds up quickly.
* Put a button or buttons on either side of the map button on the actual island screen to go directly forward or back to the adjacent island and skip loading the map altogether if you're just collecting the coins, gems, etc...
I don't mind the change overall, but I do seriously dislike how clunky it's made switching between islands. A couple of quality of life changes to how it's implemented would make me happy.
It might seem petty, but when you have literally all of the islands these additional clicks and loads add up.
There's also the time creep issue I was discussing elsewhere, where the diamond mines become harvestable at later, and later, and later increments, or when they fall out of sync with each other, and you eventually need to leave things alone for a day, if you want to cycle things back around and harvest at a sane time of the day.
I've already been doing this about once every two weeks. Not real thrilled about the prospect of having to do this more often.
I'm a "do it all once a day, in the same visit" player, on days I have to work. And my window of availability on those days, is only about two and a half hours. Being able to do things quick, is very much preferable.
You replied to a pre-patch month old post.
Initial update had a terrible loading times, each time you had to open the map it had to load for 3-4 EXTRA seconds, that was unacceptable, now it's still not as fast as it was prior the update, but at least it's within a reasonable amount of time...
But the greatest part may be that, on the left, you can see A LOT, like gems produced, coins, shards & relics and breeding & hatching.
