To raise chances: Torches help, and also don't neglect feeding the parent monsters, as their level raises chances too. (Don't waste too much food on them but at least feed them as high as possible with what you have on hand easily).
(And definitely use the correct combination -- Mammott + Noggin; too many players use Drumpler + the island's quad element, and that's a terrible idea as you can then also get the quad element, costing you 24 hours of Drumpler attempts (which is up to 48 attempts).
That said, even if you don't get one this time around, it will be back soon enough; Drumpler is on Earth, and Earth's seasonal event is on, and usually all rares/epics from that island are available on the last event weekend.
Only been using Mammot and Noggin both at level 10. Sadly I don't have any extra food right this moment and by the time I do it'll be too late lol. I have 4 perma torches but people keep lighting torches on other islands, which I understand as my plant island is full with every common monster with a few dupes for a bit of extra coin since I have the bed space.
And thanks, I didn't realize the 2 element rares were harder to get, though it makes sense since they have a shorter time.
