How do I make my song longer?

I'm trying to recreate Hopes and Dreams in this game, but I can't figure out how to add new measures to the end of the song. I know it's possible because I've heard plenty of custom songs much longer that mine. How do I do it?

If there is a way, I haven't found or heard it. The Composer Island in MSM is limited to 64 bars. I think the standalone MSM Composer (not free) has more flexibility and more monsters but I don't know if it allows more measures. If you have seen longer songs played on Composer Island, the videos were likely spliced together.
(edit) Also, a way to extend songs is to halve the tempo and count eighth notes as quarters. The only downside to this is you can't use eighth notes anymore. You can get the equivalent of 128 measures this way.
