What are relics?

I won 5 on a spin but I don't know what they are or where to find them.

Check the market. Some monsters (maybe other stuff) want relics instead of coins or diamonds.

Are they currency? What do they look like? There isn't anything in my inventory menu that says relics, I have gold, gems, food and keys, no slot for relics. I looked in the market and there isn't anything to buy for relics. I'm on level 15, is this something that shows up at higher level? Or maybe on a specific island?

If you click on market, select Monsters, and look on the top left corner you will see how many relics you have. You can purchase Werdos with relics.

You can also get fire element monsters on islands that have them like Fire Haven and Fire Oasis, you can breed most of the fire monsters except Kayna which you need to buy, hatch, then breed with other monsters to get the dual tri and quad elements on fire islands

At the top left corner of monster market I have song notes, is that the same as a relic? I haven't unlocked the fire islands yet.

yea the song note icons are relics. on plant island u can buy tawkerr and parlsona with 100 relics at any level
