BBB Please remove the pop up ads

Every time that I log in I don't need to see pop up's stating that there is an event going on and a new island, I already know this.

I don't want to watch your youtube trailer, or subscribe to your youtube channel.

This is not Facebook, on Steam we don't want to see that kind of crap in our games, if these ads continue going forward you are going to drive people off of the game.

I thought once for each ad was already too much, but was sure I was done with it after seeing them on every other island yesterday.

Then I logged in a few times today and got repeat popup ads on every log in. Even between two battles at the colossingum! I certainly hope this is just a bug (that will get fixed ASAP) and was not the intention, it's extremely off-putting.

Great, I just logged into a new ad being stuffed in my face saying to 'follow them on twitter'.
These ingame ads are complete bullsh!t. I don't know what they are thinking to try and put this over with Steam gamers.

If these ads are not removed ASAP I will not be playing this game anymore, and I will tell them exactly how I feel about in the game Review's.

I am very new to this game but I agree the adverts are VERY annoying. I do not need to see them more than once. I am not interested in "anti-social media" links and I find what I want to see on Youtube myself thanks.

I enjoy the game but I am getting tired of the popups!

Added: MSM is occasionally crashing after getting to the first island and may be tied to these pop-up- ads. I am not on social media and do not appreciate all the "suggestions" for them.

As there is no way to turn them off (paying, for example), this has to be a glitch related to the latest update.

Yes .. please. A reasonable level people would tolerate but it seems to be spamming me like every other time i move island.

I might would actually get used to it - although the repetitiveness only teaches me to ignore them -, but ever often the game kicks me out because it is loading an ad.... And that is completely unacceptable.

If clicking a singular button is driving people away, the world is more screwed than i originally thought. I honestly think BBB couldnt really care if people who are bothered by clicking a single button uninstall the game, because all in all, that makes the community better if people like that leave.

What are you talking about? This thread is about BBB spamming people with in-game ads, if people had a problem with clicking they wouldn't be playing a clicker game.

If the game just showed me these offers once and then backed off I wouldn't be complaining. However I have noticed that the frequency of the spam HAS tapered off so maybe they quietly listened and are just unwilling to remove them completely. If that's the case hey .. it's an improvement.

Spam advertising is prohibited on Steam Forums so I don't understand what is going on with BBB spamming us in-game. They post event announcements in the news feed, the sub forum, and in the game mailbox, but to bombard us with pop-up advertising spam within the game is crossing the line imo, This is not facebook and they need to cease with this sh!t.

These ads are a real pain for me because I:

1. do NOT use social media
2. watched a few YouTube videos from the pop-up ads until they became too frequent
3. do not want cutesy costumes on my monsters (unless they help in some way in the Collosingum) and
4. as the wubboxs are now I will never have one on any of my islands...

so I am going to offer a solution that may satisfy both BBB and most players...

Tie the pop-up ads to the mailbox. When a new note is added, display the red exclamation point as before and give us back the option to CLAIM (remove) mailbox items. If we leave a note in the mailbox, use it to display an occasional pop-up for that note(s).

That way BBB gets their pop-ups but we control which ones we continue to see.

I watched a few of the youtube videos that got advertised in the mail before the popup ads started, but none since. Honestly, these popups make me less likely to know about what they are trying to advertize. If I get popups, in this game or anywhere, I ignore them and close them immediately. At least when we got the notifications for the new mail items, I knew there was something new so I went to check the mail and paid attention to the messages...
