Couch co-op

I saw that you said it's ment to be single player but I'd like to know more about the how&why it is so...

Since Vagante, we've been sorly lacking a pixilized rogue-like couch co-op and it hurts more the while to see a little gem like this staying solo for unknown reasons...

There's just soooooooo many 1 player metroid-vania out there, it's not even fun anymore.... :(
