Where do I have to carry it up?

You have to carry it all the way to the girl in the library in town.

Through Spider caverns too.
You can't use a statue.

I did it on first try even when I took one wrong way so it's not on a super tight schedule.

Just keep running and do jump dashes. Also you can just jump off the cliff after picking up the fruit. No fall damage.

Jump dashes aren’t necessary but the fastest movement you can do is to ground dodge off platforms. You keep you momentum. If you dash off the mountain, you clear almost 25% of the map. If you try to take the high road and dash off, you’ll cover more ground faster. But the little gains from air dashing won’t matter as they give you a lot of time to turn the thing in

Do you mean Sirfiel?
She doesn't seem to notice I have the fruit (nor did she ask about one to begin with). The only other person in the library is in the top-right, and can't be talked to.

I made this mistake as well. You have to wait until the main quest asks for you to retrieve the fruit before she will notice that you have the fruit.
