But either way, none of the cut content would be in violation of Steams rules. Not with the added disclaimer.
But some of the content does violate Pateron's rules. And has gotten other development studios banned from Pateron, like 'Studio FOW' to name one.
But like I said Pateron don't enforce their own rules equally.
One is the 'Haunted manor' quest in that ranch town.
The second being a quest where you go up the bleak tower in the deep woods to rescue some Valos noble's sister.
The third being the entire 'Urchin' quest line. Which only had I think maybe 1 or 2 parts done.
But why they removed the first & third ones for Steam makes no sense at all; Because they left the Baker's quest in for the 'Escape the mainland' start. So as I said, the disclaimer covers them.
But the entire 'Ranch Hand' quest line breaks pateron's rules. And it's untouched in the Black version. And content like that is why Studio FoW got banned from pateron.
A: So senile from old age that it won't even matter to us anymore.
Or B: Dead.
And that's based on the statistics that one is in the 18 - 21 age range right now, A.K.A. just old enough to legally play the game. And personally I'm 20 years past that point, so more likely option B for myself.
Hiya, sorry for bumping this thread, but I want to ask, specifically, how many cut contents are there between the current steam version and patreon version? The Early Access info said that it's 15+ hours of content, so as far as you concerned, how many hours/quests that got cut in the current version?
Since I live in a relatively low income country, AFAIK the steam games price are adjusted on most games, excluding some titles, namely AAA titles. The point I am making is, the steam price of the steam version is only a quarter of the price (adjusted to my local currency of course) of the 30$ pledge in patreon. It's honestly just ..... bothers me.
Anyways if you could answer those questions, I would really appreciate it. Cheers
TL;DR how watered down is the steam version compared to the 30$ patreon version
So no matter the outcome the Steam version is better, simply because it's only a 1 time charge, and the patches/updates are free. They may be as slow as molasses going uphill, but at least it's cheaper.
Besides the reason the game is rolling out patches so slow is to milk the hell out of those patreon "buyers".
(Prove me wrong Dystopian Project, prove me wrong.)
Ah I see, yeah it's 30$ monthly, now it's even more justified I guess. Thanks for answering. Guess I'll purchase it on steam. Cheers
It's all just a massive ploy to cut content, for the sake of getting more money out of people.
(Again, prove me wrong Dystopian Project, prove me wrong.)
