Sorry you’re running into issues! We hope one of these fixes will help you out!

VOIP Problems
First establish whether it is your computer or specifically in-game. If it is only in-game, be sure to check/try the following:

Push-To-Talk
Be aware that VOIP in Dread Hunger is push-to-talk by default (Left Ctrl). You should see a microphone icon in the bottom right corner when you push this button.

Input/Output
Try switching your in-game inputs/outputs around. These are found in Settings (Escape menu > Settings > Audio). Switching to another input/output and then back to the original may also fix.

Windows Default
It's best to make your desired microphone your Windows Default, as this is what Dread Hunger picks up automatically.

How to find your log file:
  1. Open your start menu, and type 'Run'. Press Enter.
  2. Type in '%localappdata%'. Press Enter.
  3. Find the 'Dread Hunger' folder. Open it.
  4. Go into these folders: Saved > Logs. Send the file.




Crashes

Verify Integrity of Game Files
Verify your game files in Steam. To do so:
  1. Open Steam, go to your Library
  2. Right-click on Dread Hunger
  3. Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files…

Update Drivers
Check that your drivers are up to date. If you’re unsure how and you are on Windows, this may help you: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-drivers-in-windows-10-ec62f46c-ff14-c91d-eead-d7126dc1f7b6

Antiviruses and Firewalls
You may wish to temporarily disable your antivirus/firewall to see if that fixes any issues.
Un/Reinstall the Game
Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. A clean refresh may sort things out.

Crash on startup / black screen initially?
Try the following:
  1. Unplugging different audio devices and starting up the game then
  2. Launching the game in compatibility mode
  3. Uninstalling Sonic Studio to see if this is the cause

To get your DxDiag:
  1. Open your start menu and type ‘DxDiag’. Press Enter.
  2. Click ‘Save all information…’. Save it somewhere easily accessible.

To get your crash dump:
  1. Open your start menu, and type 'Run'. Press Enter.
  2. Type in '%localappdata%'. Press Enter.
  3. Find the 'Dread Hunger' folder. Open it.
  4. Go into these folders: Saved > Crashes. Send through the file ending with .dmp
