Chinese voice acting with english subtitles PLEASE.

Something I've always noticed in ANY asian mmorpg is that whenever it gets brought over to the west the english voice acting is actual garbage. I would very much love for the ability to keep the chinese voice acting and simply have english subtitles instead of an english voice actor make me cringe any time something is spoken.

I know they said they would try to get it, but it really should be more than a "try" effort.
So many people want this and it should be an easy quality of life gift for us. They both already exist, no real effort is needed to implement it.

I want it to be known im specifically talking about including those subtitles ONLY for cut scenes. I'm perfectly fine not knowing what my character is saying during combat, as subtitles would clutter my screen in combat... lmfao.

That would be great, much prefer chinese voices with subtitles than weirdness from underpaid amateur voice actors.

I'm not sure how they need to "actively work on it" since the vo's are clearly already there in the alpha for content creators. Maybe a licensing issue or something like that.

English dub in Chinese themed game is just wrong.... It's same than watching IP man in German....

I always prefer the original dub when available but not when it's Chinese. IMHO Chinese sounds very monotone and emotionless. Even in Chinese movies in scenes where they're making sad or happy faces the way they speak doesn't convey it. I suppose it's the way their language works, the meaning of what they say is so heavily conveyed by their words and not by the tone of their words. Just my two cents.

But yeah, it would be nice to have Chinese dub for those who want to use it. Having options is never bad.

You can change the voice-over language in the game settings. (ECS -> Game Settings -> Language).

Honestly yeah, the english voiceovers are totally horrible. Absolutely takes away from the charm of the game. cheers.
