Every game they have a hand on goes F2P
just look them up and the games they have on steam, id wait 6 months after release to get even close to this game, before i drop money in to it.

Even if they go F2P in 6 months, who cares? If the game is good and buy to play, people will play it before then. The only ones who won't are people who can't afford the "staggering" price of $40. In addition to this if their showcase of the item mall is correct and true, means its not pay to win. All cosmetics and a "battle pass" that is also all cosmetic for the paying tier.

$40 for an mmo is exceptionally cheap, if it doesn't suck and isn't pay to win.

For example BDO is 9.99 and asks you to buy premium (value pack), inventory slots, weight limit, costumes, pets, a tent and many other things. Even if you were going to wait and buy everything that is sell-able by the marketplace you are still looking at several hundred in purchases for a single character if you want them maxed out.

As a side note, I do feel for the people in various countries who are stuck with a terrible price in their currency that makes it genuinely un-affordable.

BDO has RNG, SOLO doesn't because it is developed in way to not have it :)

if you force yourself to think about it, BDO is basically a subscription based game to fully experience the entire game efficiently

It would be much better for the game to end up F2P than to end up abandoned like KUF II.

Is there any game published by gameforge that has pay2win? the game i know only have cosmetic in the cash shop.

RNG doesnt work like this, rng can have fixed drop rate. For the game to not have rng would mean you would have 100% chance to loot thing.

They have stated something to the effect that there will be nothing exclusive to the western version of the game - which means they can't add anything the other versions don't have - which should also mean they cannot add any P2W items or mechanics, or sleazy F2P shenanigans.

This remains to be seen of course, as Gameforge doesn't have the best rep, obviously - but I'm willing to give it a try, if for no other reason than it looks gorgeous and fun - and the housing system looks like a blast.

If I end up getting shafted down the road, eh, that'll be on me and Ill accept it.

i hope you're not saying kuf2 was killed by gf lol, that game devs are literally scammers that milk a region before abandoning support for it then releasing it in another region. They're scammers, the fact that you even mentioned it clearly shows how ignorant you are about this stuff, but you do you... w8 for 6 months and dont buy inbetween pls, less monkes in game.

It's the publisher job to make sure their customer are not scamed... People have all the right to be pissed at gameforge for this.
Yes gameforge is not the one to blame for this obvious scam, but they are to blame for not protecting their customer.

There are a lot of trustworthy publisher most of them are not big. you took the bigger and the most money hungry one but a lot of small and medium sized one do try to make a good job and make money at the same time.
